Dress Code

In the proud tradition of classical ballet and out of respect for the art form, we strive to have a clean, uniformed look for our students in all of our dance classes. Please help us achieve this goal by purchasing leotards, tights, and ballet shoes that match our dress code requirements and by preparing your child's hair for class in the appropriate manner as listed. We recommend purchasing dancewear at Penny-Robin Dancewear in downtown Littleton. Penny-Robin understands our dress code requirements and gives LDA students a discount on dancewear. We do not recommend the ABT spotlight ballet shoes sold at Payless Shoe Source because they are very stiff. Student's name should be placed in all dancewear, especially shoes. Elastics should be sewn on ballet slippers. No safety pins allowed. All students have one month to comply with dress code. Students of any age should always wear street clothing over their ballet attire when coming to and from their classes. Ballet slippers must never be worn outdoors as this tracks dirt into the studio and is detrimental to the marley floors as well as dangerous for the students.
