Intermediate/Advanced
Summer Dance Intensive
July 6th to August 1st, 2009
Open to any dancers Ballet IV and higher or levels
intermediate to advanced. Featuring daily ballet classes as well as
classes in pointe, variations, pas de deux, flamenco, modern, jazz, hip
hop, tap, dance history, acting, nutrition, injury prevention,
choreography, and repertory.
Workshop classes are from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday-Friday with the option of regularly scheduled classes on
Saturday. This is an excellent opportunity to study new dance forms and
continue to develop your technique with intensive study!
Junior Summer Dance Intensive
July 6th to July 17, 2009
Open to dancers in Ballet II and Ballet III or levels
beginning to advanced beginning. Featuring daily ballet classes as well
as classes in modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, dance history, and
acting/pantomime.
Workshop classes are from 9:00 to 11:30 Monday through
Friday. Discover new dance forms, find out what a dancer’s life is
like, and continue developing your ballet technique! Please note: you do
not have to attend every week.

In this class structured for 3 and 4 year olds, students
will learn basic pre-ballet movements in a daily dance class, become
familiar with some very basic ballet terminology, listen to music from
the ballet, and watch parts of the ballet on videotape. The children
will also do arts and crafts activities based on ballet throughout the
week, and explore movement through creative expression.

In this class students will learn basic pre-ballet and
ballet movements in a daily dance class, become familiar with some basic
ballet terminology, listen to music from the ballet, and become familiar
with pantomime and how it is used in a ballet. Students will also learn
about the day in the life of a ballerina, study basic nutrition,
anatomy, and dance history and watch parts of the ballet on videotape.
Children will do arts and crafts activities and continue to explore
movement through creative expression.
